Day 29 - A two-man crew plugged the wiring holes with a fire-retardant foam and installed R49 insulation in the family room attic space above the sunroom wall. The county inspector arrived mid-morning and approved the floor and attic insulation, giving the go-ahead to re-install the floor boards. He could not approve the roof beam support, since the engineering drawings incorrectly indicate that the existing family room wall is constructed with 2x6 wall studs, when they are actually 2x4. Final roof system approval will require revised engineering drawings. Stay tuned.
The crew worked the rest of the day caulking window frames and completing the installation of the deck facia. More material is needed to complete the remaining two segments of the bench facia.
