Day 24 - The carpenters installed 2x4 framing in the sunroom ceiling to provide space for wiring the ceiling lights and fan. This will also be the mounting frame for the finished wood panelling that will cover the ceiling. The carpenters also built the steps with temporary lumber that will be replaced when more is available on site. They started the installation of Versatex white board on the side of the deck and modified the end of the bench with a decorative cut.

The electrician arrived in the afternoon and wired the outlets in the sunroom. He will return tomorrow morning to complete the rough-in electrical with the goal of having an inspection on Friday. The glass for the west wall is still on back order.

A contractor was here this morning to take measurements in the sunroom for the installation of the porcelain floor tiles that we have on order.

Day 23 - The electrician arrived mid-afternoon to review the rough-in wiring requirements with me and started installing duplex boxes in the sunroom. He plans to return tomorrow to continue the work. No other work crews were here today.

Day 22 - The roofers arrived at 10:20am and installed the remaining tar paper and the skylight flashing. They completed the shingles by 3:30 to close out the work day.

Day 21 - The two-man window crew finished installing the two remaining windows on the south wall this morning. The roofers did not appear, and the expected delivery of the windows for the west wall has been delayed until Monday, so this was a short work day.

Day 20 - A contractor and I installed a temporary support to raise the lower guy cable 5" above the edge of the sunroof. A permanent solution will include the installation of an extension of the guy post. 

A two-man crew installed most of the window/door panels today, until they were interrupted by an unforecast rainstorm at 2:50pm. Another delivery of window panels is expected tomorrow to complete the glass installation.

Day 19 - A three-man crew installed 2x8" boards on the exterior edge of the ceiling panels. They also installed the skylights and the final two deck boards next to the house. I discovered a problem at the end of the day - one of my tower guy cables is hitting the edge of the roof. I will meet with a company representative tomorrow to discuss a solution. Stay tuned!
